THE FIRST LARP
IN HUMAN HISTORY

The Trojan Horse under the word LARP

The trenches have already cycled through tech startups, fake animals and entire personalities built around stories people traded before they fully checked what was behind them.

Now one of Solana’s biggest trader-aura stories is being questioned too.

Different role. Same word: LARP.

THE FIRST LARP

Everyone knows the Trojan Horse.

The Greeks left a wooden horse outside Troy after years of war. The Trojans brought it through their own gates without knowing what was hidden inside.

Calling this “the first larp in human history” is obviously anachronistic. That is the joke.

The word did not exist. The behavior did.

LARP ESCAPED
THE GAME

LARP originally means Live Action Role-Playing.

People dress as characters and physically act out a role. Online, the word became something else.

“Larping” is now commonly used when somebody performs an identity, exaggerates a role or pretends to be something they are not.

That internet meaning is why the word fits the trenches so well.

TECH WAS
ONE COSTUME

The tech meta gave the trenches one of the cleanest examples.

People were buying projects packaged like startups before anyone had properly checked whether the product worked.

Launchpads were launching launchpads. Routers were routing routers. Infrastructure became a ticker before it became infrastructure.

Some of it was real. A lot of it was mostly a story people were willing to trade. Then the meta moved on.

THEN THE LARP
GOT A FACE

After tech, the role changed.

The trenches started trading animals, AI characters and entire personalities with histories that were sometimes difficult to separate from something generated specifically for the launch.

The important part was no longer whether a piece of software worked. Sometimes the first question became whether the character behind the story was even real.

OLLIE / THE COMMENTS

People were trading a story about a Super Intelligence Cat while the comments were already questioning how much of the project, history and identity had been prepared in advance.

THE KING OF LARP?

Kimchi accumulated enormous aura in the Solana trenches.

One of the biggest stories attached to him was that he had made roughly $40M trading $TRUMP. CT repeated it. People treated the number as part of the Kimchi identity.

When Kimchi returned to attention, that aura helped send a token associated with his name to roughly $45M ATH, according to the circulated account.

Then BubbleMaps challenged the story. Their investigation argued that Kimchi had not made the famous $40M and that his actual PnL was much smaller.

Even before the argument about the number was settled, the aura had already existed. People had already traded the identity.

That is why people started calling him the “king of larp.” The role had market value before everyone agreed how much of the story behind the role was real.

VI

LARP DOESN’T
NEED A META

Tech cooled down. Fake zoo cooled down. Kimchi became the current example.

Tomorrow the role will belong to somebody else. That is why TROJAN does not depend on any one narrative.

A LARP can be a startup, an animal, an influencer, a founder, or a trader with enough aura that the story around him starts trading before anyone verifies the details.

The costume changes faster than the behavior underneath it.
